While making the transition from adolescence to adulthood, it has become increasingly clear to me that the world takes itself much too seriously. Never having been one to settle for grim prospects, however, I strive to lighten things up a bit through the work that I create.
Simultaneously existing as both products and reminders of such things as curiosity, mischief and imagination, my artwork acts to inflect the vestiges of childhood on those who may have become numb to the magic of the world around them. By manipulating the mundane to inform and transform the everyday world, I give the viewer a chance they may have otherwise been deprived of to witness something quirky, whimsical and completely unexpected.
