Artist Statement

In the past year I have been photographing encroaching development on land in the suburbs of Boston, attempting to document the progress while at the same time preserving through photography the beauty of that land before it is destroyed. The subject of development is still one of my main interests, however in the upcoming year I am turning my focus to the way that humans interact with the natural world, the way we make it accessible and how the beauty of “untouched” nature becomes a refuge for many.
