Artist Statement
Art making is an extension of how I look at the world. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes dark and disturbing, and usually with subtle irony, I work on multiple series in different mediums simultaneously. In all of my work, whether it be alternative processes of photography, super 8mm film, video or installation, evidence of the hand or the human element is an important component. I am particularly interested in involving the viewer, or the participant, creating an experience or a place of contemplation, hopefully making work that stays within and provokes thought.
